about us
Niiaz, Kenje, and Barchinay are three friends, each successful in their own field, working for well-known foreign companies based in Kyrgyzstan. Niiaz, an IT administrator, spent his days behind screens and servers, solving digital problems with quiet precision. Kenje, a passionate environmentalist, worked on wildlife protection projects, advocating for harmony between humans and nature. And Barchinay, known as one of the top 10 tourist guides in Kyrgyzstan, was constantly in demand for her deep knowledge of the land and culture. Though their careers were stable and their lives comfortable, something felt incomplete. One evening, during a casual tea gathering at the edge of Bishkek, the three friends shared stories from their childhood — summers on the jailoo, horseback rides through the mountains, the sound of komuz music by the fire, and the warmth of sleeping in a yurt under endless stars. “We work in modern systems,” Niiaz said, “but we come from a world that’s ancient and beautiful.” Kenje nodded. “If we don’t protect our nomadic culture, who will?” Barchinay smiled. “Let’s show it to the world — not just the views, but the soul of Kyrgyzstan.” That night, they made a decision. Together, they launched “Kyrgyz Nomad Tours” — a travel agency with a mission to bring tourists beyond the cities, deep into the heart of nomadic life. Niiaz built a user-friendly, secure online platform to reach travelers worldwide. Kenje ensured their tours respected the land and empowered local families — yurt makers, shepherds, musicians, and artisans. And Barchinay designed immersive journeys: horseback adventures through alpine valleys, meals with herder families, eagle hunting demonstrations, felt-making workshops, and evenings of folklore beneath the stars. The response was overwhelming. Visitors left not just with photos, but with stories, friendships, and a newfound love for the Kyrgyz way of life. In just a few seasons, Kyrgyz Nomad Tours became the country’s most respected agency for authentic nomadic experiences — blending professionalism with deep cultural roots. And for Niiaz, Kenje, and Barchinay, it wasn’t just about business. It was about honoring their past, empowering their people, and keeping the spirit of the steppe alive.
